3-Year-Old Class
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
9:00am- 11:30am

For most of our 3-year-olds, this is their first time coming to school. Because the classroom experience is so new, every part of their day is an opportunity to learn. We focus heavily on fostering independence during play and increasing their comfort and ability to participate in classroom activities and follow routines.

Through play, we practice communication skills with both teachers and peers. We offer many styles of play for children to choose from and gently encourage them to try a variety. Teachers can often be seen on the floor playing with students- modeling appropriate play, taking turns, and encouraging group play.

Students are given daily opportunities to work on their fine motor skills like using scissors, working with playdough, and creating through many different art mediums. They are also exposed to concepts of math, scientific exploration, and early literacy skills each day through our daily and weekly learning themes.
