About Us

Presbyterian Nursery School is a non-profit, non-sectarian school sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville. The Steering Committee oversees the operation and maintenance of the school.  PNS has been serving the families in our community since 1959.

At PNS, we provide a well-rounded, play-based program designed to meet the needs of developing preschoolers. Our program is aligned with the NYS Pre-Kindergarten Early Learning Standards. Each day, students engage in art, music, movement, literacy and word study, early math skills, and fine-motor practice. Students are exposed to scientific exploration and discovery regularly within our weekly lessons. Through play, we support and encourage children to explore, learn, and grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.

We believe that the relationship between home and school is important. We provide opportunities for family involvement at several activities throughout the year including Dad's Night, Halloween Hoot, Mother's Day Tea and our End of Year Picnic. We offer a window into our classroom through weekly pictures and descriptions of classroom activities. Once a year we hold parent conferences, but are in regular communication with parents throughout the year. We value the relationships we have built with current and past families. Once you become a part of our PNS family, you are always part of our PNS family.​
